　われわれは今回，急性咽頭炎，深頸部膿瘍から続発した肺化膿症，膿胸の1例を経験した．深頸部膿瘍は稀であるため発見が遅れる可能性があるが，重篤な病態になり得るだけに迅速な診断と治療が必要である．診断にはCTが有用であり，治療は適切な抗生剤投与とともに迅速な切開排膿が必要である．

We present a case of a 25-year-old male with a lung abscess and pyothorax secondary to deep neck infec-tion. Since deep neck infection is a rare disease, it maybe difficult to detect the disorder, but prompt diagnosis and treatment are necessary because it can be life-threatening. Computed tomography is useful in diagno-sis and proper administration of antibiotics and surgical intervention are necessary.
