Clinical outcomes of stereotactic radiosurgery for brain tumors

脳腫瘍に対する放射線外科治療（定位放射線治療：stereotactic radiosurgery）の治療結果を概説した。放射線外科治療は，病変が大きくなければ，様々な脳腫瘍において有効な治療法の1つである。ガンマナイフ治療は，聴神経腫瘍，転移性脳腫瘍では初回治療として，髄膜腫，下垂体腺腫，頭蓋咽頭腫，脊索腫，転移性脳腫瘍，頭蓋底悪性腫瘍，神経膠腫では手術を含めた諸治療後の残存腫瘍に対する治療，また，再発時の治療として有用であると考える。

We present clinical outcomes of Gamma Knife stereotactic radiosurgery for brain tumors. Radiosurgery is one of effective treatment options for various brain and skull-base tumors, if they are not large. Acoustic neurinomas and metastatic brain tumors are good indications of radiosurgery as an initial treatment. Radiosurgery can be used for residual or recurrent tumors in cases of meningiomas, pituitary adenomas, craniopharyngiomas, chordomas, metastases, skull base malignant tumors, and gliomas.
