末梢血単球増多を示し，右片麻痺を発症して死亡した45歳男性

A 45-year-old Man with Peripheral Monocytosis and Right Hemiparesis

症例：I．T．，45歳男性（1996年1月13日死亡）

主訴：右手の筋力低下

We report a 45-year-old man with monocytosis and right hemiparesis. The patient suffered from an acute myocardial infarction from which he recover-ed completely when he was 42 years old. One year prior to his death he was found to have increase in monocyte count (35.5% of leukocytes) in peripheral blood and splenomegaly; he was admitted to the hematology service of our hospital. He was diagnosed as having chronic myelomonocytic leuke-mia after bone marrow examination. He was treat-ed with radiation therapy with improvement in splenomegaly.
