急性浮腫性回腸炎27例の臨床像・X線像についての検討

The Clinical and Roentgenological Features of 27 Patients with “Acute Edematous Ileitis”

　われわれは日常診療にて多くの腹痛の患者をみているが，その中に強い腹痛にて急に発症し，小腸X線検査にて回腸に一過性の粘膜ひだ腫脹像をみる一群のあることに注目してきた．このような急性腸炎についてはいまだに報告がない．今回その27例について臨床像とX線像を中心として報告する．

　This paper presents the clinical and roentgenological features of 27 patients with acute enteritis characterized by transient thickening of the mucosal folds of the ileum, suggesting a new clinical entity of acute enteritis. All of them suffered from abdominal pain, persisting for 1 to 6 days (mean 2.5 days). Small bowel examinations showed edematous thickening of the folds, usually localized, in the ileum, which resolved or disappeared more or less within one week. This was the most characteristic and important finding in our series. Plain films of the abdomen showed some gas collections in 96 per cent. Other common findings are as follows; CRP was positive in 86 per cent, leukocytosis (more than 10,000) in 81 per cent, abdominal tenderness in 79 per cent, and diarrhea in 63 per cent. We propose the term “acute edematous ileitis”for our series, although the etiology is still unknown.
