  • Look Inside

We report two cases of scapholunate advanced collapse (SLAC) wrist treated by scaphoid excision and four-corner fusion. Case 1:A 51-year-old man presented with a 1-year history of right wrist pain. Radiographs showed SLAC wrist, stage 2, and scaphoid excision and four-corner fusion were performed. Twenty-four months after surgery, the patient had no wrist pain and was satisfied with the results. Case 2:A 70-year-old man presented with a several-year history of left wrist pain. Radiographs showed SLAC wrist, stage 3, and scaphoid excision and four-corner fusion were performed. Ten months after surgery, the patient had no wrist pain and was satisfied with the results. Scaphoid excision with four-corner fusion seemed to be a valid option for surgical treatment of stage 2 and 3 SLAC wrist.
