Evaluation of everyday memory in amnesic patients may provide useful guidance for leading everyday life safely and fundamental information for memory rehabilitation. However, standard memory tests are not suitable to assess everyday memory problems. The Rivermead Behavioural Memory Test (RBMT), developed by Wilson et al., is a standardized, validated, and reliable test for everyday memory. In this test, four parallel forms (A, B, C and D) are arranged for repeated uses. In this study, we examined the reliability and validity of the Japanese version of the RBMT in assessing memory problems in amnesic patients.
