緒言

　尿路の通過障害は尿路のあらゆる部分に起こりうる。これには機械的，機能的，そして器質的なものがある。このうちで早期発見によつて，外科的治療法により顕著な効果を期待できるのは機械的通過障害である。慢性的な上部尿路通過障害は大部分自覚症状がないか，あつても症状の出るのは遅い。同様に下部尿路の狭窄もときどき自覚症状がでないのがある^1）。このためにしばしば尿路通過障害によつて不可逆性の腎機能障害を来すことがある。われわれは最近前立腺肥大症によると思われる腎機能障害1例を経験したのでその治療前後の臨床経過を報告したい。

A case of hydroureteronephrosis and renal function impairment resulting from prostatic hypertrophy was reported. It's surgical treatment with the use of the author's Silicone T-tube for efficient urinary drainage was also described. After prolonged lower tract obstruction, hypertrophy of the vesical detrusor is a natural consequence. This, in turn, might give rise to functional obstructions of the intramural ureters which were presumably to be the cause of our case of hydroureteronephrosis. Since mid-1971 about 200 cases of prostatectomy have been experienced.
