Abstract Purpose:To report two cases who received everting suture method through the bulbar conjunctiva for senile entropion of the lower eyelid with conjunctivochalasis.

Cases:Both were males aged 66 and 71 years respectively. One case showed foreign body sensation and epiphora in both eyes. The lower eyelids showed entropion and conjunctivochalasis. The other case showed foreign body sensation in the left eye with entropion and conjunctivochalasis of the lower eyelid. Both cases were treated by everting suture method that consists of 4 steps:①insertion of a needle through the bulbar conjunctiva, ②passage of thread through the lower conjunctival fornix, ③passage of thread through the lower edge of the tarsus, and ④incision of the lid with the depth of 0.5 to 1.0 mm. Surgery was followed by cure of entropion and conjunctivochalasis in both cases. Senile entropion of the lower eyelid with conjunctivochalasis is due to relaxation of capsulopalpebral fascia(CPF). Present surgery seemed to work due to ①traction of the relaxed conjunctiva anteriorly and downwards, ②anterior traction of CPF, ③anterior and posterior traction toward the lower edge of the tarsus, and ④prevention of exposure of the threads.

Conclusion:Everting suture method was effective for senile entropion of the lower eyelid with conjunctivochalasis in 3 eyes of 2 cases.
