In the present study, we reviewed duodenal mucosal lesions in vasculitis syndrome patients having the following symptoms:immunoglobulin A(IgA)vasculitis, eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis, granulomatosis with polyangiitis, microscopic polyangiitis, polyarteritis nodosa, and systemic lupus erythematosus. Patients with vasculitis syndrome sometimes manifest duodenal mucosal lesions, along with edema, redness, erosions, and circular or geographic ulcers, visible through esophagogastroduodenoscopy(EGD). Gastrointestinal(GI)involvement is considered a poor prognostic factor for some diseases ; therefore, in the case of duodenal involvement, it is crucial to consider vasculitis syndrome as a differential diagnosis. However, EGD findings vary, and the detection rate of vasculitis syndrome with bioptic examination under EGD is low. Therefore, to confirm the diagnosis of vasculitis syndrome, it is necessary to also consider other clinical manifestations.
