The reported cases in Japan until 1968 were 26, of which 6 cases were glomus tumor, 4 cases were hemangiopericytoma, 3 cases were angiosarcoma, 4 cases were angioblastoma, 3 cases were hemangioma, 2 cases were hemangioendothelioma, and a case was hemangiosarcoma.

In the present paper, a further case of hemangioendothelioma in a 56 year-old female is reported. The patient was hospitalized with complaints of epigastric discomfort, heart burn and hematemesis. Laparotomy was performed and a convex tumor protruding into the gastric cavity with 7×5×3 cm size was found on the greater curvature of the stomach.
