  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

The patient, 52-year-old woman with a lesion of Type Ⅱc+Ⅲ early gastric cancer measuring 43×16 mm and histologically confirmed as adenocarcinoma mucocellulare is reported. Its depth invasion reaches the submucosal layer.

The reasons for the preoperative diagnosis of the patient as sm cancer are as follows:

 (1) The folds converge on the lesion all the way around it.

 (2) The ends of the folds adjacent to the lesion shows rod-like swelling.

 (3) The depression of the lesion is clearly defined.
