  • Look Inside

A 41-year-old woman with Ⅱc type of early gastric cancer was reported.

The lesion was located on the anterior wall of the middle part of gastric body. On x-ray film the lesion measured 2.2×1.2 cm in diameter. On x-ray and endoscopic examinations, there were no findings such as clubbed and fused mucosal folds and plateau-like elevation which were suggestive of submucosal cancer invasion. However, histological examination of the resected specimens revealed submucosal invasion of signet-ring cell arccinoma in a scirrhous fashion.
