要旨　CTC（CT colonography）は，腸管を送気ガスによって拡張し，得られた腹部CT画像から，腸管内のガスと腸管壁のコントラストを3次元画像表示することによって行われる大腸画像診断法である．かねてより，わが国においても多くの施設で研究がなされ，各種学会においてトレーニングコースなどのイベントも盛んに行われるようになってきた．しかしながら，検査に対する前処置法や腸管の拡張法などの技術は適正な画像診断を行ううえで重要な項目であり，これらの技術革新は今後のCTC普及に欠かせない要素の1つである．“高精度”で，“受容性の高い”良質な技術となり得るCTCの前処置法，腸管拡張法と撮影法について概説する．

　CTC（CT colonography）is a method for colon imaging and diagnostic. The image obtained by abdominal CT imaging is diagnosed by a 3D image which is obtained by the contrast of the gas value in the bowel and the wall of the bowel, when the bowel is swollen by insufflation.

　This method has been well researched, and various events such as technical training are carried out at many conventions and it has been become a common method in Japan.

　The preparation and the way of swelling of the gut tube are the most important points for obtaining a proper diagnosis, and requires professional skills. We should continue to research innovations to propagte CTC more widely.

　Here, we review the technique of CTC preparation, bowel insufflation and the method of radiography which might provide more accuracy and gain higher acceptability.
